Bluetooth Essentials for Microsoft .NET MAUI

In this course students will learn how to develop an essential Microsoft .NET MAUI application to connect to a Bluetooth wearable heart rate monitor. This course will help teach students about Bluetooth communications including using a notification characteristic, scanning for devices, connecting and/or disconnecting to/from devices.

Students will learn the following concepts:

• Connecting to a Bluetooth Device
• Scanning for a Bluetooth Device
• Subscribing and Reading Data from a Notification Characteristic
• Parsing Heart Rate Data from the Notification Characteristic

• Microsoft Visual Studio Code (Free)
• Microsoft .NET SDK 7.x (Free)
• Generic Bluetooth Heart Rate Monitor (Amazon, Paid)
• Access to a Physical Android or iOS Device (Various, Paid)
